Open the Dahua software and type in your Username and Password. Click OK to log into the system.
To access the backup menu on your recorder, you need to insert a USB device into the USB port of the recorder. A find USB device window will pop up on your screen. Select File Backup, a backup menu will now be displayed. Another way to do this is enter the main menu of the system and select the backup option.
The Backup menu will now display, click the Browse button and select the area you wish to put the recording i.e. USB drive. Formatting a USB may be required, if so, click the Format button in the top right corner. Note: Formatting the USB device will delete all data on the device. Once the area/device has been selected click save.
Select the type of record using the Type dropdown box. Input the start and end time to which you wish to start and stop the backup. Select which camera(s) by clicking the record CH dropdown box. Click File Format, select the option DAV. Click the Add button to add as an entry.
Multiple entries can be created to back up recordings simultaneously. Click Backup to move to the next step. During the backup process a progress bar is displayed with an estimated completion time. Once the backup is finished a Backup Completed message will be displayed.
