Franco’s is a family run restaurant in Thorpe Park, established in 1969. Franco’s menu is inspired by the regional cuisines of Italy and complimented by a tailor-made Wine list. Alongside the restaurant, every lunchtime the bar area becomes Franco’s Deli, due to customers demands for fresh salads, baguettes, pizzas, soup and pasta.
Fire Alarm Maintenance Leeds
Franco’s is a busy restaurant holding over 300 guests, it is essential that they have a Fire Alarm that works to its best standards in order to detect and warn all of their guests in the event of a fire, ensuring there is enough time to evacuate everyone. A business not only has customers to protect but assets, employees, a building and any other disruption a fire may cause. When our engineer went to take over the Fire Alarm servicing, they checked to see if anything had changed since the Fire Risk Assessment, when tested the engineer noticed that a break glass call point had been damaged to make it compliant system.

Upon reading Franco’s Fire Risk Assessment, an engineer visit was required twice per annum to ensure the Fire Alarm meets the current safety standard. Fire Alarms must alert occupants in the event of a fire, prevent loss of life but also prevent false alarms; false alarms account for a huge number of fire brigade call-outs and so the fire brigade is occupied when a real emergency arises. The brigade now charges for call outs to premises that have a number of false alarms as an incentive for businesses to keep their Fire Alarms better maintained.
