BELL Lighting otherwise known as British Electric Lamps, are based in Normanton in Wakefield. They contacted TI Security as we had already provided a business intruder alarm system in their new building, for the previous occupants. They felt it made sense to stay with us as we already knew the system, but they needed some adjustments to meet their requirements.

Burglar Alarm Service Wakefield
The building BELL acquired already had our Business Intruder Alarm systems in but the client felt that it needed bringing up to scratch for their own needs. So we went along to their site, so they could show us around and discuss the various ideas that they had and ask for our engineers’ advice, so we could design an upgrade to their system, that was entirely fit for purpose. Whilst working on their existing system, we soon identified the best way to tweak the product and design, with a solution that looked like this…
Alterations and Burglar Alarm Service Wakefield
We took their requirements on board and recommended they added remote signalling to their Burglar Alarm so they could monitor and be alerted of any activation’s, alerting keyholders and emergency services should an intruder try to gain access. We added new sounders all around the building to ensure the system appeared new and maintained, again deterring any intruders. An old sounder makes a Burglar Alarm look like an old un-maintained alarm that may not trigger in the event of a break-in, but this was why we updated the sounders as the outside appearance is essential and we wanted it to match their new up to date system. We connected the business Fire Alarm systems panel with the Intruder Alarm adding smoke/heat detectors and call points to ensure the alarm will activate for different things but the monitoring station can see which emergency services to call.

Normanton is a town in Wakefield. It is North East of Wakefield and South West of Castleford. Normanton was originally surrounded by a moat as it was the site of an enclosed settlement. Known for the collieries and the employment it brought in the area. It is now known for its regular trains to Leeds, Castleford, Wakefield and Sheffield. With the addition of the M62 which attracts national corporations to locate their distribution depots to Normanton. It is centrally located within the UK, close to 3 major motorway networks, the M62, M1 and A1M.
