The customer contacted us as their building in Bradford was multi-tenanted, they wanted to limit those in the building to only the floors that belonged to the company they worked for by using Access Control Bradford. As their lifts currently allowed anyone to access any floor and offices.

The Housing and Care provider give older people a choice of great places and ways to live. They have a range of services that are designed to help live life your way and they are proud to be the largest not-for-profit provider of housing and care for older people in England. Offering affordable, purpose-built apartments designed to offer the elderly a sense of security and independence.

Access Control Bradford

The Housing and Care providers building had 4 lifts which currently allowed anyone access everywhere, they wanted to restrict this as visitors and employees were ending up on the wrong companies’ floor. We recommended business Access Control systems installing in all of their lifts; restricting access to everyone and every floor. Upon calling the lift, only those with an ID badge which is presented to the reader inside the lift will operate it. So, if a person was to enter the lift without an ID badge no action would be taken and so the lift would remain on that floor.

Restricting Access Control Bradford

When the reader has acknowledged the card/badge, it then highlights the floors that this card has access to, and the user is requested to pick one of the highlighted floors. The system will not allow a user to pick any other floor apart from those highlighted as the system is programmed to know that the user is restricted to their company floor and offices only.
